11/26/00-Tumescent after a stranger's fondling embarrassed in a public place magical thinking wishing makes it so licentious dancing a perfect instant the wave of a leafy branch in cold morning air the song of a tiny bird a train whistle note my dog's warm steamy feces her soft silky coat...




11/20/00-From hades' vapors long archetypal images growing out our farthest far ancestors breathed poison and were poisoned in turn by this pearly world's most precious air oxygen rich life a flash in the pan of time flares up but slowly our lives like a long fuse as we live and die a balanced arc between cold inertness and a blinding flame metamorphosing from vital young flesh to aging husk of our former selves molecule by molecule cell by cell tissue by tissue before the crematorium's fires can touch the corpse inside out our bodies breathe themselves to death the gas that burns forests also gives us vitality quickens our hearts warms us better than any central heat consumes us too like the atmosphere a falling meteor or a match that once struck ignites spends itself in moments living infernos smolder golden embers seething slowly toward their extinction let us not with sugar or anger speed the reaction ripen before our time before the firmament was separated from the seas before the light from darkness appeared before our blue-skied realm had cooled to a crusty water planet creatures here and in myriad other orbs have existed that supped on sulfur and sniffed methane and ammonia fumes long after our skin-wrapped fires are snuffed out organic forms shall persist in places we reject let us not despise such as these they are slower but more steady to our faster but more heady oh so imperiled existences...




11/13/00-Great masses snow-capped advancing there with steam ice springs jacuzzi fountains from clear day sunsets on Mount Rainier approaching waves called "cascades" mountains...




11/7/00-Yellow banana slugs black bears zazen moments violet sunsets deep green conifers winners losers blue mountain jays minorities and women power herds of tan elk gore blue gray pacific seas exit polls kelp forests otters ocean lions mahogany brown minks dull bushes silent white mists fogs owls drifting through hugging the hills and dunes a distant glimpsed hulk chilly wet nights white males searching for big-foot...
