3 16It is nighttime and I am standing out near a street and a movie marquee. The movie title on it is directly related to what I am expansively, loudly, and with half-amusement saying to several listeners: "We are FOOOOOD for the divinities!"
[I have been bothered by the murder death of a friend's only child, a young man of much promise till he was knifed to death a few days ago. The dream seems to be an ironic answer to the question "What's it all about?" - that all we are, despite abundant hopes, dreams, and personal views of how important are our lives, are the chance outcomes of unconscious forces far beyond us or else that all of existence and this universe of universes are the whims and for the benefit of one or more essentially infinite beings, that in either case it is as if we count for little, though of course subjectively it all seems to matter greatly.]
2/16/19 - Title: "The Snake Problem is All Wrapped Up"
I am lying (or have fallen) down on (onto) a floor in a dark room. There is a table or some other large piece of furniture a few feet from and above me, but I do not see it (as there is too little light), yet I already know it is there. I hear or sense a movement or noise just under the edge of the table, in the same vicinity as where my legs and feet are, as they extend under the edge of the table now, so they (the) noise or movement is right next to where they are on the floor. From something about the movement I sense that it is of a large venomous snake. It (In) fright I yell out: "Oh God, Jan, can you come get it? There's a snake on me!" I do not think she can come or even see the snake in time and feel sure it will strike me, but suddenly there is a commotion just above me, and I am not bitten after all, but Jan has evidently wrapped the snake up in a swift twisting fashion onto a broom handle or some such. It is at least a five-foot long and large, powerful snake, yet she had (has) it temporarily under control and now must kill it or get it away from us and safely outside.
