12/14/19 - Title: "Fish Out of Water"

In a big, long, single story building, I want to consult my sponsor [which he is in real life, though in the dream he is more like a supervisor and I his employee] about something. I have a bag of books or wrapped food items that I am carrying by the handles with my right hand. I go to where he is apparently having a lunch break and eating a big bowl of soup. He is located in a small, bright room with a few others around too. It is at one end of the long building. It usually is OK for me to talk with my sponsor/supervisor when he is taking a break, but this time, when I sit down nearby and am about to ask him about something, he is impatiently annoyed and points out he's eating. I'm clearly not an acceptable intrusion.

I leave with my bag and head back to the other, more social, larger end of the building. Today there are a number of people around whom I don't know, including kids doing their own things, not well supervised. There is a big aquarium, maybe about 25-50 gallon capacity, with plenty of healthy water plants and a lot of fish living in it comfortably. Some of the kids climb up and begin playing at the aquarium, disregarding the needs of the fish, some of whom they are trying to catch. One falls out onto the floor. I try to help this fish and get it back into the aquarium. I scold the kids and point out they should leave the fish alone, that they can't breathe out of the tank.

I am trying to get through a short passageway. It is blocked by an adult and a child who seem oblivious of me. I decide to go a long way around, through an adjacent big bedroom, normally vacant. This time there are two sleeping forms under covers in there on the floor (no bed). The larger form, whom I take to be the man, is stirring. I apologize, saying I'd thought the room empty. I leave by the way I'd come in. However, the door will not close completely and stay latched. I try a couple times to pull it firmly shut. Each time it comes a little loose from the latch, as though the fit is not true. Then the man inside, apparently impatient, slams it shut from the other side, completely closing and latching it this time (and I wake up).
