10/12/05-Foggy morning deep dream almost forgotten comforting a newly widowed young woman in berkeley holding her close but the libido in check the future seeming to open before me like a vast fertile valley offering abundance fresh fruit dripping its juices as I bite into the flesh intelligent glance grackles foraging like miniature feathered dinosaurs permitted by a planetary warming eight thousand years of human civilization were grafted upon the totem of our species' prehistoric progress yet soon the heating is intense sultry or oven like ancient life forms converted to fuel and transformed again to speed our tiny individual conveyances to toast our shelters in winter or freeze them in the hot months releasing carbon oxygen molecules into our upper atmosphere till most of the world's balancing ice will have ceased to be it is nigh on to mid-morning and by late afternoon we shall be burying the last of our kind beneath unfamiliar inhospitable landscapes ultimately some new perhaps luckier duller creatures to inherit our current global hegemony...
