11/4/10-Thurs.-For the first time, Fran's and my nest egg has risen above the $1,000,000 target we have had since the end of 2007. We both agreed we do not feel any different being "millionaires." 11/25/10-Thanksgiving Day-Fran and I are having a good three-day visit with my mom, in Waco. As usual, Horace, Leila, their offspring and in-laws, grandkids, etc., are insular and having their own separate holiday celebration. Joel normally would be visiting Jehovah's Witnesses friends, in Corpus Christi, but is ill with flu-like symptoms and so still here. Allen and his family are in for a few days as well, as are Ron and his youngest child, Jane. Mom is too ambitious. Against others' advice and despite advanced age, she is having a full Turkey Day spread, fixed here at her home. Well, hopefully she can recoup later if, all too typically, she gets wiped out by it all.
