10/22/06-Smell of terrier hair as my dog squeezes close for play and petting at the bank she goes crazy with outlandish greeting behavior trying in vain to get the attention and touch of a large black delivery truck man gettysburg and all the momentous moments in human history and prehistory in 2036 a large asteroid already sighted may hit earth with enough force to destroy a major city or send skyscraper height tsunamis far inland will we be able to alter its trajectory or get ready for this and a myriad other looming potential disasters over the next two to four decades seldom before in recorded times has so much been so weighed in the balance for so many in such a truncated span grief at what has already been lost terror over what is yet to come loneliness that so few others can see and feel the imminent threats unfazed most are going on as usual with their ordinary lives it may in a way be all the same to me for in the next generation or so two at the most the dust and vapors that once were my animated self will be scattered buried or wafted off upon the wind unnoticed as a tiny puff of sea breeze over an empty ocean and yet like a parent for the welfare of his offspring theirs and the succeeding lineage I do still care and so wish that enough might share that concern lest for lack of even trying all might be lost with a longer larger vision though it is apparent what is to happen has already occurred we have but to experience it in our more or less aware or sleep cycles each instant exactly as it is just as inexorably it always was and will always be...
